Wine Pairings under the Tent

6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at the Martha's Vineyard Museum

Enjoy delectable wine and fare pairings while listening to wine historian Nina Wemyss and local music. A benefit for the Martha's Vineyard Museum.


Saturday, October 18th

Seminars various times, various locations.

Discover, learn and sample at numerous seminars on topics including artisan cheeses, olive oil, wine and chocolate.

Grand Tasting

1:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. at the Martha's Vineyard Museum

An afternoon of food and wine including chef demonstrations and tastings from wineries, restaurants, and local farms.

Splendid Dinners

7:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. at private homes

Magnificent dinners in private homes, prepared on-site and presented by acclaimed chefs.


Sunday, October 19th

Farmers Brunch

10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at the Martha's Vineyard Museum

Experience locally grown and prepared at our Sunday morning brunch featuring the harvests of local farms and concoctions from local chefs.

202: Pearls from the Oyster

date: 10/12/07 Pearls do not actually come from the oyster, or do they? Enjoy with us these gems on the half-shell and as prepared several ways by our renowned, cool guy, guest chef for the evening, Chris Schlesinger, chef/owner of East Coast Grill in Cambridge and author of The Thrill of the Grill and License to Grill. The oysters will be paired with sumptuous wines from your friends at Our Market. Local oyster growers will join us. Food for the mind will be provided by wine historian and lecturer, Nina Wemyss. This is an evening of historical, literary, and ecological perspective on the oyster and/or gastronomic bliss. The proceeds from this evening, including those from the silent auction and book sales, benefit the Martha’s Vineyard Museum.

date: 10/13/07 Travel around the cheese tray with Ihsan Gurdal, co-owner and manager Formaggio Kitchen in Cambridge and Boston’s South End and Formaggio Essex Market in New York. Traveling around the United States and Europe to work with celebrated cheese makers and affineurs, bringing an unparalleled selection to his shops, Ihsan has introduced many hand crafted cheeses to the US for the first time. In this seminar, he will share some of them with us.

Ward Just, brilliant novelist and author of Forgetfulness, An Unfinished Season, and Echo House, will welcome you and introduce his son, Ian Just, chef /owner of Les Zygomates and Sorriso in Boston. Ian’s food has been called “one of the best reasons to visit New England.” Ian’s food will be accompanied by the wines of Stag's Leap Wine Cellars, and Howard Imber will lead you through the wines and their pairings.
