The Martha’s Vineyard Boys & Girls Club was created to provide quality programs and services to all ages of the Island-wide youth population that will prepare them for healthy and productive lives through professionally developed programs that help to develop self-esteem, leadership skills, personal values, and mutual respect, in fun and safe environments. The Martha’s Vineyard Museum provides an excellent resource for island history through its museum, library, and educational programs. Exhibits, collections, archives and publications can all be viewed at the Museum’s campus in the heart of downtown Edgartown. Visitors are able to experience the island’s seafaring and farming past and learn of the Wampanoag Native American tribe and European settlement. The mission of the Martha’s Vineyard Museum is to inspire interest and understanding of the island’s unique history, culture and physical characteristics by collecting, preserving and presenting relevant materials and information to visitors, summer and year-round residents.
