SEMINAR PROGRAM

A ROCK STAR ADVENTURE WITH CHEESE, CHARCUTERIE AND WINE

11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Price: $50.00
Black Sheep, 18 North Summer Street, Edgartown

Join Lisa Kaplan and Vineyard chef Judy Klumick of “Black Sheep” - the Island’s top destination for artisanal cheese and charcuterie - as they take you on a tour of cheeses from happy California goats and charcuterie from Europe. These will be paired with wines from rock star-persona wine maker (and Food and Wine 2009 Winemaker of the year) Charles Smith. Charles makes delightfully serious, but picnic worthy wines from Washington’s Columbia Valley, under the Charles Smith and K Vintners labels, including the 100 point Royal City Syrah and the every day quaffing (but still 90 point!) Kung Fu Girl Riesling.

Learn about the farms, the personalities, how to pair cheese/wine and charcuterie/wine expertly, but most importantly how to eat and drink like a rock star!

Ticket includes artisanal cheese and charcuterie wine pairings.

Ticket purchasers name will be placed on registration list at the door. Please bring your email confirmation and ID

Price: $50.00
Lure Grill, Winnetu Oceanside Resort, Edgartown

Join notable Boston-based chef and co-owner of Boston Chops and Deuxave, Christopher Coombs, as he takes guests through a beef and wine focused journey that incorporates some of the more well-known cuts of meat, such as the sirloin and filet mignon along with a look at some of the “Rarely Celebrated” parts of the cow, such as the oxtail and beef tongue.

Coombs owns the award-winning steakhouse, Boston Chops, which is located in Boston’s Back Bay and was featured on the cover of the February issue of “Food & Wine” Magazine. Coombs will talk about best cooking practices, different parts of the cow, how marbling comes into play, and of course, what wines pair best with red meat. FOOD & WINE DINNERS

BRYAN PAGE WINE DINNER

featuring chefs Max Eagan and Dante de Magistris

6:00pm Dinner
Price: $185.00 all inclusive
Isola, 19 Church Street, Edgartown

We’ve enlisted some of the area’s brightest stars to enhance your epicurean experience at Isola, a newly opened upscale classic Italian restaurant in Edgartown. Isola chef Max Eagan and Boston chef and co-owner Dante de Magistris of the eponymous restaurant dante will lead an evening featuring a New American menu of “global comfort food” using the best local ingredients. Chef Eagan, an avid fisherman, is all about locally produced and caught food. At restaurant dante, de Magistris has flawlessly established his culinary paradiso as one of the premier dining destinations in Boston.

Winemaker “superstar” Bryan Page, is famous for his WineMaker dinners. Bryan's Page Wine Cellars and Revolver Wine Company are two of the most talked about 'rogue' wineries in Napa. We should also say that his red wines are excellent candidates for long term proper aging. All of Page’s wines are unfined and unfiltered for maximum color and flavor. While many producers have automated to some extent the in-winery processes, not so with Page Wine Cellars. Everything is very much done by hand at the winery – literally, even most of the bottling. The winemaker himself is coming with his incredible wines for a dinner to remember!
