My Story

Mark Ladner was the executive chef of Del Posto Restaurant in NYC, which he opened in 2005 and was awarded a New York Times Four-Star rating in 2010 (The only Italian restaurant to have done so in over 50 years.) As well as Two-Star Michelin and a Grand Chef Award by the Relias & Chateau organization. Also receiving the James Beard Award for Best Chef: New York in 2015 and published The Del Posto Cookbook, which includes a final collection of his highly-regarded recipes from that restaurant. During this time Mark was business partners with Mario Batali and Joe Bastianich for close to 20 years and responsible for Lupa Osteria Romana and Otto Enoteca e Pizzeria both in Greenwich Village NYC. Ladner started an inexpensive fast food pasta brand with Chipotle named Pasta Flyer, also in Greenwich Village in 2016. Most recently (during the pandemic) Mark returned home to Cambridge, MA and spent the last two years at The Charles Hotel on the campus of Harvard University running an Italian Neo Trattoria named Bar Enza. Mark is currently working on R&D and new concepts for the Lyons Group based in Boston, MA
